Fairfield Woods Entry Grant Street at Woods Chapel Road, Lee's Summit, Missouri. Completed Summer 2007.   This entry feature is the focal point for visitors when entering this new, thirty-six unit housing development. The objective was to orient the feature to capture a pedestrian's interest. The water components were designed by others.   The bed area was fully planted with a variety of native, water associated plants, arranged in an ornamental display using both evergreen and deciduous trees, shrubs, forbs, and grasses.   The entire feature was carefully sited around existing trees which were preserved and incorporated into the design of this $28,000 project.
